ghost river

Have been dipping tentacles into Yi Jing recently (prompted by an invitation to do a project in Silicon Valley/
valley of heart’s desire)- it has been sending a lot of ghost river and limping, as well as a POV called Guan or Kuan
(working with two different books). I don’t know how to numagramm it- what numagramming would do or saybut curious.

Hexagram #20 (ordinal), value 48 (cardinal), Guan (觀) ‘Viewing’
(‘Kuan’ is the old Wade-Giles Romanization, ‘Guan’ is modern Pinyin (first tone, Guān))
The most straightforward mapping goes (read from the bottom):
[Line-6] Unbroken (yang) — value 32 (2^5) — digital reduction 5 (Zone-5)
[Line-5] Unbroken (yang) — value 16 (2^4) — digital reduction 7 (Zone-7)
[Line-4] Broken (yin) — value 8 (2^3) — (Zone-8)
[Line-3] Broken (yin) — value 4 (2^2) — (Zone-4)
[Line-2] Broken (yin) — value 2 (2^1) — (Zone-2)
[Line-1] Broken (yin) — value 1 (2^0) — (Zone-1)
Like every hexagram, it models the Hex (time), and distributes a yin-yang pattern throughout it. The yin-yang difference was
‘originally’ imagined as the shadowed/illuminated side of an object (respectively), so the hexagram can be seen as a
scattering of light and darkness, emphasis and subtlety.
What does it mean to have Khatak and Oddubb each partially illuminated (on their odd and dominant sides), with Murmur
eclipsed in shadow?
That, at least, is the oracular question, when articulated on the Numogram.

If ‘illuminated’ doesn’t work for you, ‘activated’ (or ‘heated’) are yang. As has often been noted, broken/unbroken
lines are (binary) digital switches, operating exactly as logic gates in computer science. A hexagram is a pattern of
activation, and the mapping onto the Numogram is not problematic. (I don’t think I am betraying the questioning in
the post below in stating this, but there might be some dissent …)

Could this be the correct mapping?
But then the hexagram isn’t able to function as a binary number, since it can only count ‘zero’ and then the
even numbers up to 126. Does that allow us to dismiss this construction? I really hope so … (we would then
have a relatively stable platform going forward).

a solar event of sorts coming from the future, sun relating to metal- solar feedback loop from potential harnessing of solar
energy trajectory, a slicing into the solar path, (with dreamtime occulted this path is a clashing fanatical one or at least
missing cooling agent?)

Illuminate, activate, heat all work well.
I need to get that syzygy diagram out then.
Maybe the numagram can show something about what came in the pictures while the hexagram helped me see/find/make
them. The Yi Jing squence I received for this project was
H20, H39, H47, H64

With murmur eclipsed in shadow- Intensity signal.
If yin is configured around illumination then it can still be active while eclipsed , or in a temporal holding pattern.
Different than active or heat model in that invisible doesn’t mean it’s not doing something….

apologies for the response pause — the Shao Yong ordering problem has put a quagmire swerve into
proceedings … best not to drag you into the morass until some glimmer of clarity returns (but if it’s swamp
you’re after, it’s all quite graphic in the Yijing post following)
