thanks for this! Where Kant meets Marx meets Laruelle meets the Thing —- horror/philo/fiction?
Of course the thing is hidden because it is our own action externalised as autonomous structure of social relation. Absolute
autonomy of a structure of social relation as the fully externalised process of object creating object? No need to envisage
machine/robotic production and exchange on a far distant astroid belt…… we know that already as the commodity — that
thing of our own making which remakes us in the image of itself by action from the future. Every moment of commodity
exchange, in which biological human energy is commodified (alienation… the rule of the alien thing) is a singularity. Marx
said it all but we are still on our way to arriving at him! Perhaps, in part, via Land.

“Of course the thing is hidden because it is our own action externalised as autonomous structure of social
relation.” you’ve got it that’s Nick’s formula for creating sci fi horror scripts invent some invisible bogey
man/machine behind the scenes that is only noticeable/embodied in the actions of everyday things we know
